Your Role and Responsibilities
A successful candidate will:
• Identify promising quantum algorithms and suitable applications for emerging fault-tolerant quantum devices.
• Benchmark the resource requirements based on problem parameters, implementation strategies, and circuit synthesis techniques.
• Develop a deep understanding of relevant application domains such as physics and chemistry, estimate critical problem parameters, and evaluate the performance and accuracy of quantum algorithms in real-world settings.
• Conduct comparisons between quantum methodologies and classical state-of-the-art techniques.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent software experience.
• Demonstrated experience in quantum algorithm design, analysis, and resource estimation.
• Proficient in scientific computing programming languages (e.g., Python or similar).
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
• Knowledge of high-performance computing programming languages (e.g., Rust, C++, or similar).
• Experience with large-scale software engineering projects that involve multiple contributors and diverse programming languages.
