The Opportunity:

Are you ready to leverage your scientific and engineering expertise to revolutionize US Government research in quantum hardware technologies? Join our dynamic team, serving as a strategic technical advisor to the US Government. You'll play a crucial role in overseeing the creation and execution of innovative government-funded research and development programs in microelectronics, focusing on the latest quantum technologies for groundbreaking applications in sensing, communications, and computing.

In this role, you'll collaborate with world-class scientists and engineers, shaping national security investments through the development of cutting-edge technologies for military applications. Your technical expertise will guide senior DoD decision-makers in evaluating new concepts and identifying technological gaps. As a key contributor, you will provide critical recommendations on the feasibility and potential impact of future research initiatives by conducting in-depth analyses, performing background research, visiting R&D facilities, and engaging with the research community. You will also track the progress of sponsored research and communicate technical findings effectively to diverse audiences.

You Have:

• Over 10 years of experience in microelectronics hardware technologies, specifically in quantum computing hardware.

• Demonstrated experience in developing materials or processes for quantum microelectronics.

• Proficient in technical communication.

• Understanding of optimizing hardware for target software algorithms.

• Knowledge of computing architectures that integrate traditional graphics processing units with next-generation computing, including quantum computing.

• Familiarity with advanced computing processes or error correction techniques.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with precision or quantum measurement.

• Experience in designing, fabricating, or testing chip-scale devices or circuits.

• Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication tools and processes.

• A Doctorate degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering.

The salary range for this position is between $77,600.00 and $176,000.00 annually, based on various factors including location, education, skills, and experience, among others. This range represents the typical salary for this role and is just one part of Booz Allen's total compensation package. Please note that this posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
